I haven’t posted in a while, and I think it’s time. Meet Garth. He’s funny, rambunctious and LOVES to snuggle. Adoptiversary – August 8th

My family had to say goodbye to one of the kindest, sweetest, gentlest dog you will ever meet. Baxter. He was 14 years old and lived every day to the fullest. We will miss him so much.

I don’t give Saul a lot of people food, but if I do, I give him the rest of my dinner if I haven’t finished it.  Today was left over salad. It kills me that he will eat all the salad EXCEPT the tomatoes. He picks them out. Such a snot.

For the first time in I can’t remember when, I made a snow angel in the snow. It lasted three seconds before Saul started biting my clothes and dragging me around the yard. I can’t stop laughing.

My dad sent me a video of dogs waking up their owners. So damn funny, except Saul does none of those things. He just sits by the bed, stares at me and hrruummpphhs until I wake up.

Now I understand how hurt my mom and dad where when I was a teenager and HATED any affection from them. I went to give Saul a kiss and he stood up and literally walked away from me. Focker.

Saul and I are the perfect fit; for a spoon. I now lay on his neck, cup his bottom with my legs and snuggle against his neck. Sooooooo good.

I’m going to Florida to visit my family and I cannot wait. EXCEPT Saul can’t come. How wrong is it that I almost don’t want to go? 🙂
